Sharing your server is very easy and can be done from the portal
¶ Why Share?
Servers can be expensive so if you have spare capacity why not share your server with other communities?
- To be able to schedule an event a user needs two things:
- Access to a server
- Be a staff member, admin or owner of a community (see Managing Community Staff)
- A server is controlled by one person. That is the JustRace account that logged into the JustRace Server Manager.
- That person can give other people access to it from the JustRace Profile page
¶ Sharing your Server
- Login to the JustRace portal using the same account that logged into the JustRace Server Manager
- Visit your profile page
- Click the
Serverstab at the top - Find the
Manage Your ServersectionShow Image
- Click
Add Userand enter the JustRace Username of the person you wish to give access to - The user will be listed under the
Manage your server userssectionShow Image
You need to trust the person you share with as they can create events on your server. If they create too many events that could overload your server or interfere with your own events.
¶ Removing Access for a User
- Login to the JustRace portal using the same account that logged into the JustRace Server Manager
- Visit your profile page
- Find the
Manage your server userssection andDeletethe user you wish to remove
The user will no longer be able to create events on your server but existing events will remain unless deleted.
